Center for Disabilities Studies, University of Delaware
The Center for Disabilities Studies provides training, services, and technical assistance, and does research. It does this to help Delawareans with disabilities participate in their communities.
Delaware Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC)
The ADRC is a place to find information and services for older people and adults with physical disabilities in Delaware. ADRC can help you learn about resources, decide what services are best for you, and find the services you need.
Delaware Department of Education (DDOE)
DDOE oversees the public school system in Delaware. It sets policies. It also provides resources, training, funding, and more to local school systems.
Disability Rights Delaware, Community Legal Aid Society, Inc.
The Disability Rights Delaware advocates for Delaware residents with physical or mental disabilities and provides legal services.
Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS)
DDDS funds and monitors supports and services for Delawareans with developmental disabilities in their homes, at work, and in the community.
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)
DVR provides services that help people with disabilities learn work skills, find jobs, and build careers.
Governor’s Advisory Council for Exceptional Citizens (GACEC)
The GACEC advocates for the rights of people with disabilities and their families. It advises different departments in state government. It also reviews policies, procedures, and practices related to services for Delawareans with disabilities.
Parent Information and Training Canter of Delaware (PIC)
PIC provides information, training, and support to parents of children with disabilities from birth to 26. They help families get an appropriate education and related services for their children.
State Council for Persons with Disabilities (SCPD)
SCPD works to improve how state services are coordinated for people with disabilities. SCPD reviews federal and state policies, rules, regulations, and laws that affect people with disabilities in Delaware. This website explains SCPD’s activities and has links to information and resources.

Administration on Disabilities (AoD)
AoD is a federal agency that sets rules for and monitors the:
- Delaware Developmental Disabilities Council
- Disabilities Law Program at Community Legal Aid Society, Inc.
- Center for Disabilities Studies at the University of Delaware
National Association of Councils of Developmental Disabilities (NACDD)
NACDD is the national association for all the Developmental Disabilities Councils in the country. Each state and U.S. territory has a DD Council.
